Enhancing Erith’s Riverside (3 Sep 2019)
Following public feedback on how best to improve Riverside Gardens the next stage is to brief a landscape architect to come up with a design based on residents feedback.
More than 200 local people responded to the recent survey to tell the Council their ideas to improve Riverside Gardens in Erith. A further 180 people took part in ideas forums and pop-up events run by Groundwork, who the Council commissioned to run the community design process.
Four themes dominated the feedback;
• The River Thames
• Play
• Attractions and identity of the park
• History and heritage.
