What is a cyber security incident?
The NCSC defines a cyber security incident as:
A breach of a system's security policy in order to affect its integrity or availability
* The unauthorised access or attempted access to a system
* Cyber incidents can take many forms, such as denial of service, malware, ransomware or phishing attacks.
The NCSC traditionally manage cyber incidents of national importance with organisations, but if you are a member of the public and want to report a concern then we would recommend contacting Action Fraud.
