Received an unfair parking charge from a private firm? (07/08/2018) [caution seek professional advice]
"Hold your nerve, fight it like I did and win (using a little knowhow), says LEE BOYCE "
"Last month, we received a 'parking charge' for apparently waiting at a double yellow line in a BP garage outside Stansted Airport. The charge of £100 would be reduced to £60 if Dani – my fiancée and the registered keeper of the vehicle – paid within 14 days to a firm called MET Parking Services, based in London. The date of issue of this notice was 12 July 2018. The date of the alleged contravention 3 June 2018, some 39 days previous. Needless to say, we were furious. But after letting it sink in, I rolled up my sleeves and got ready to battle."
