Compatibility of Kaspersky Lab solutions with the Microsoft Security update of January 9, 2018
"Microsoft is releasing a security update on January 9, 2018 for all supported operating systems versions (Windows 7-10, Windows Server 2008-2016). This update has compatibility issues with the following Kaspersky Lab solutions:
Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows version 10.3.0.6294 (SP2), including Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
All supported versions of Kaspersky Small Office Security.
All supported versions of Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool.
Other Kaspersky Lab solutions do not have compatibility issues with this update.
To fix this issue:
On December 18, 2017 Kaspersky Lab released the fix which is distributed through the database update. Solutions with this update installed will not have compatibility issues with the Microsoft update.
Before January 9, 2018, we will release the patch and update the installers on the website and in the Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud console so that Kaspersky Lab applications are installed correctly on computers with the January 9 Microsoft Security update installed. "
