Amritsar, Nov 04 (ANI): In Amritsar, Golden Temple witnessed heavy rush of devotees on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on Saturday. Thousands of devotees, including children, were seen taking bath in holy sarovar at the Golden Temple. Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Guru Nanak Gurpurab, celebrates the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak, and is considered one of the most sacred festivals among Sikhs. The festival is celebrated every year on a full moon day in the month of Kartik. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings to the nation.
